Formerly a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, Carver has performed as the lead vocalist for successful bands that include; M-Pulse & PRC-77. This once Army Soldier of the Year has toured around the world performing for the troops and was once chosen as the SSA’s Front Person of the Year. About Staring Blind
Staring Blind was formed a year & a half ago from members of several successful Brevard bands which include: Matt Carver (lead vocals) from M-Pulse and PRC-77, Willie Carrasco (bassist) of M-Pulse & Un4Sakn, Brandon Carrasco (lead guitar) of Un4Sakn and Tim “Timmy Guns” Andujar (drums) from Orlando who’s last project was with the band Putrescent Secretancy.
In the relatively short time the quartet has been together they have had great success performing across Central Florida to packed venues and festivals. Most notably these include the 2012 & 2013 Cocoa Village Mardi Gras and downtown Melbourne's St. Patrick's Day festivals, the Melbourne Arts Festival, and most recently the 72nd Daytona Bike Week.
The band has already written over an albums worth of original music and cut their first demo with Mark Brasel at The Zone Productions. They have recently recorded several songs at Brett Hestla Productions in Orlando FL.
Brett has produced several gold record songs as well as being the front man for the bands Dark New Day & Virgos Merlot and the touring bassist for Creed. The songs have enjoyed great success so far and have been featured on WJRR 101.1fm's Native Noise, Atlanta GA's Real Rock 106.1fm, and several European & British internet radio programs. As well as being featured on this site, the bands music can be heard on spotify, reverbnation and purchased through Itunes or CD Baby.
The group is currently working on their first video project for the song "Black Arm" written for Lee "Black Arm" Noland who will be a contestant on an upcoming season of the Spike TV reality show "InkMasters"
Staring Blind was recently selected as the 2013 Featured New Artist for the 17th Annual Leesburg Bike Fest and recorded the song "Four Stroke Heart" (written exclusively for the event) with Luke Beaulac at Evermore Sound in Orlando FL.
Staring Blind plans to extend their touring range within the next year with the intention of performing another Armed Forces Entertainment tour for the military service members stationed overseas.

Willie Carrasco

Also a former U.S. Army veteran, Willie has served as bassist for bands including M-Pulse & Un4Sakn and has performed up and down the East Coast and as far away as Las Vegas & the Bahamas. His salesmanship as well as his musical ability has helped Staring Blind achieve more in their first year than many bands achieve in a lifetime.
Tim Andujar
Drums
The newest member of SB, Tim (AKA: Timmy Guns) hails from the Orlando metal scene having performed with several bands such as; Whisperdying, Putrescent Secretancy, & Hand to Hand amongst others. His hard core background, technical accuracy, & background vocal ability takes Staring Blind to the next level.
Inspired by a diverse range of musicians and bands, too many to list, Brandon has been honing his talent and technique for years. Formerly the lead guitarist for the band Un4Sakn, Brandon is now the chief musical writer for Staring Blind. Brandon's additional talents include an exceptional ear for musical production and his visual editing skills have help produce many of Staring Blinds promotional videos. .
